In a recent article by Science Illustrated, Yann Bizien shares his journey as an exceptional survivor of metastatic pancreatic cancer and his role in helping advance our research. As Manager of our Patient Committee, Yann works closely with exceptional survivors, clinicians, researchers and patient advocates across our international network. Their collective insights help strengthen our understanding of exceptional survival and guide how we engage with the survivor community.
We believe that studying exceptional survivors requires close collaboration with the people who have lived through these extraordinary experiences. By connecting scientific expertise with survivor perspectives, we can build a richer understanding of the mechanisms behind long-term survival.
